DuPont State Forest

Another gem in the Carolina mountains is DuPont State Forest, located between Brevard and Hendersonville, N.C. Pictured above is Triple Falls, one of several breathtaking waterfalls located on the more than 10,000 acre tract. Much of the land was opened to the public after the state of North Carolina acquired it from DuPont Corporation. In subsequent years, more land was added, and development of facilities to accommodate visitors is ongoing.
